Sweet BomBoN operates on a gravity-based match-3 engine where candies fall from the top grid and automatically align when three or more identical types connect horizontally or vertically. The BomBoN mechanic activates when you match four or more candies in a single move. Four-candy matches create horizontal or vertical blast candies that clear entire rows or columns. Five-candy L-shapes or T-shapes generate area bombs clearing 3x3 grids. Five-in-a-row matches produce rainbow candies that eliminate all candies of one color across the entire board when activated.
The progression system tracks your score through a three-star rating per level. Stars are awarded at specific score thresholds calculated from base candy values multiplied by combo multipliers. Each level has a move limit ranging from 15 to 35 moves depending on difficulty tier. Obstacles like chocolate blockers, jelly layers, and locked candies require specific match patterns or special candy combinations to clear.
